You can see that A just swinging around from the guitar moving. :huzzah:

Iz tight, I quite like that album though I've never really sat down and listened to the thing in it's entirety, but it's been played around me a lot.

The new Tele arrived today. First impressions are very nice- and the thing still has the Fender tags on it! I guess it had been sitting around in a store in Buttfuck, The Middle of Nowhere for the past couple years. Poor thing. It's like some bastard lovechild of a Tele and an SG. I suppose it's photo time.

ah you should definitely give it a listen, it's so good. Probably my favourite of theirs. Definitely the "proggiest" for lack of a better term haha. The whole album just crushes. Way better than The Hunter which I can't really get into, same as Leviathan.

Also, I am strangely gas'ing for one of these. I like weird offset guitars I think.

Welp, I got an SP-303. Time to learn how to use this fucker properly. I am having a little bit of a difficulty with some bits of it. :red:

I bought a Schecter Damien Elite because the neck was fantastic. Not sure I will keep it, but man the neck is great.

Had a couple more jams with those guys, think we're getting some good stuff together :tu: Think I'm just gonna solo guitar it for the time being as it's hard enough with the four of us to organise times for practices etc. Any tips for sounding huge as a single guitarist? The bassist has a JCM900 + cab I could borrow and run in stereo with an ABY switcher. The idea was to have the 900 set up for the thinner single guitar riffs then kick in the Laney when the bass and drums come in, would that work?

I wonder- is there a Maps Consensus on Schecter stuff? It's been years since I played anything of theirs, but I do remember the necks being pretty comfortable. :idk:

I like this idea. :tu: 'Specially if you dial in contrasting tones. Judicious use of subtle delays- an analog delay might work well here- also has some potential. Perhaps just one the one amp, too, with the other bone dry.

Not sure. A lot of their models go the way of gaudy and tops and too much abalone. This has both those, but they aren't obnoxious and really does play fantastically. I kinda dig EMGs for pop punk, super tight and punchy.

Personally, i have always hated the look of the schecters. I have a similar distaste for ESP and Ibanez though.

I kind of just hate all of the things, i guess.

My tastes in guitars are admittedly fairly and often excessively get-off-my-lawn staid, though. :red:

I wouldn't mind playing/experimenting with some EMGs however. I just don't really like the idea of having to replace batteries in my guitar. :red:

The batteries are the biggest thing for me.

I like as little as possible to be able to fuck up before a show as possible. Also why I ditched wireless.

Yeah I reckon the Marshall and Laney will go nicely together since the former is more upper-mid biased and the latter a bit more lower-mids. Saying this I do know another guitarist who might be interested after all. He uses a JCM800 so things could sound monstrous. Plus he has a pelham blue firebird which I am deeply lusting after right meow

I think I have come to realize that I do not get along with Boss DD delays or any fancy analog delay I run into, no matter how cool or expensive. Pretty sure what I am looking for is a piece of shit Behringer delay that sounds like what it is made of; plastic.

My friend/guitar duo compatriot, Aidan, has one that sounds fantastically horrible. I think really, nice delay is not for me?

Have you tried the classic cheapo of lore, the DE-7?

Aslo, specifically, what do ye want your delay to sound like?

Aslo, it is worf noting that the behringer delays are all pretty much all just boss copies, and usually not bad copies either. The main downside with behringer is the plastic case. They usually sound 100% swell.

I've played through the DD-6 and 7, and I felt like they were just too dark/not stabby enough.

Aidan's got this one:

For whatever reason, it just seems brighter and wonkier to me?

Big surprise, I love all the AnCo delay tones, btw.

I think the DD400 is a Boss DD-3 copy, actually.

I have, but it was long before I was actually trying to find a delay pedal. Listening to some demos, it sounds like the "multi head" setting is fairly close to what I am looking for, with the multiple short delays.

Alternately, you could go for like multiple (even 2 would be interesting) behringers and run them all into eachother.
