I'm too poor now to buy a footswitch for my sunn concert lead, but after reading the schematics i realized i could simulate one by plugging RCA cables into the back, and then shorting them out with tinfoil and rubber bands. Bam, distortion channel now accessible, because of course, in 72 it was too hard to put a button on the panel to turn on the channel, NOOOOO yhou NEED the footswitch.
cripes. make one with a pushbutton switch from lowes and a 5 dollar project box from rat shack and a spare guitar cable! you can usually buy 'em from peavey or something.. it's basically an on off switch, and they're usually universal too.. i had a guitarist whose switch generally blew up once every three months.. we replaced a lotta those with $20 marshalls or peaveys, and sometimes with ones from places that had big heaps of used gear lying around. or you can just put a cable halfway into the jack if you mostly play dirty.

Been jamming the new Panda Bear album constantly over the past couple months. The term Aidan and I have coined for it is "progressive adult contemporary."
Shit bangs.

No can do, it uses RCA plugs.

Also, that drummer. Jesus, he's so hard and consistent it's like they triggered the kit.
I first heard that guy when i turned on college radio and his old band FORCEFEDGLASS was playing live on a show. The mix was terrible, and the band was kid of so-so, but holy fuck, you could tell that the drummer was something else.
I used to see Converge live fairly often back in the day, and he was amazingly consistent and real loud on the bits that needed loud hits. Crazy good drummer.
If there are triggers on that record(i don't know) they are probably only being used to blend different sounds in with the mics. That is what Kurt did when my old band recorded a demo with him, anyhow. Mainly because he hated my snare though and wanted to mix in something that sounded a bit deeper.

Was never my favorite Faith No More record- that would be Angel Dust- but I figured I should go back and re-visit it.

"When Unsane bassist Dave Curran started writing songs on guitar with drummer Jim Paradise (Player's Club, Freshkills, Hellno) the name they tossed out for their fledgling project was simple: PIGS. "We figured it was short enough that press and promoters couldn't fuck it up." Producer Andrew Schneider (Cave In, Converge, Made Out of Babies, Unsane, Keelhaul) was invited to fill-in on bass for a couple of shows and, much to their delight, has refused to leave."
Sounds like you think it does.
