Hadn't heard them.
Pretty righteous, sounds like Beatles if folks had mostly only heard them through what Weezer was about. Occasional bouts of Dinosaur Jr.
Seems right up your alley especially, particularly(in addition to the Weezer-ness), the tight ThinLizzy-ish multi-guitar harmonized leads that keep popping in.

Just try to get this out of your head after listening to it.

Very much this, it is like a sugar coated treat for my ears. Did you stick it out for the whole thing? Some very sillily obvious rips from waaaaay too many bands. And most likely ones too obscure for anyone to pick up on.
I really enjoy the fact that there are really, maybe just like 7 different songs on there, just with a handful of variations on the theme (with exceptions).

Oh yeah, i listened to the whole thing and dug it. I was actually surprised at how much i dug it considering how blatant some of the borrowings are. I don't normally go for that stuff, but for whatever reason i didn't mind it on this.
I also appreciate how much mileage he gets out of the selection of sounds and structures he is working with. Basically the same thing over and over again, but again, while i normally wouldn't be into that to listen to, i like how he makes it work.

Yeah, it works on an ADHD sort of way. Never overstays it's welcome with any particular concept, so it's constantly refreshing itself. I am thinking I will be getting a lot of time out of this sucka.

Could I get maybe a little less compression here? The pre-release singles sounded better.
It does sound gigantic, but it's just a bit too blown out to the point it's distracting.
