Classy, that. I don't like either original a ton(aside from the EVH appearance in beat it), but combined it is pretty gd swell.

So, i was listening to this:



which is a pretty cool, kind of odd collection of random shit mostly recorded badly on the street, and in many cases, i think just audio ripped from a video footage someone shot.

But anyhow one of the songs near the end had this bit that totally set off my "this melody is from something so out of context here that i KNOW the song, but i cannot place it".

Trying to trace back in my skull where the original lived led me on this journey:

Suddenly it occurred to me that i might be way off on the decade. But still, nope.



Nope. But i don't know why she hated this tune either. It is pretty solid, IMO.

Then i suddenly realized exactly what the tune i had skullstuck ACTUALLY was:

I prefer the cover in this instance though.

Sabbath's Changes as an old-school soul tune. I think it sounds better this way.

Haven't listened to this is a good long while. For a song that has nothing to do with metal at all, it's metal as fuck. I wanted to cover this for years when I was in heavy bands, but even still I don't know if the wailing feedback lead guitar throughout the entire song could be done justice. I've seen them do it live, and it's basically a big crashing-chord doom song. Which is cool in its own right, but not the same.
