Picked up a pretty sweet Effectron II rack delay today in a partial trade for a Bogner Uberschall pedal. Yeah, the delay's worth like three times what the pedal was, so I figure I made out, 'specially as I got cash on top of it.

Also, played through a Two Rock, and ran into an AC100 in the wild. You don't see either of those much.

New band is coming together slowly but surely. Here are a few rough recordings from my phones voice recorder so quality is a bit dodgy. This was the first time in a few weeks our singer could make practice so he was a little ropey in places haha, I think it's sounding alright so far though. Song 4 is in a rough state as well, we'll write a new bit for where it slows down as we were just jamming at that point. That JMP sounds good even though a crappy phone mic used my new fuzz war clone for track 4 and it's fucking monstrous in person. Great lead pedal. I will say I love being in a one guitar band. No fighting for space.

Indeed. The Effectron's going onto the pile of stuff I don't have rackspace for in me homestudio. (I still have the server rack, but nowhere to set it up outside my unfinished basement, which is not anywhere I want to keep gear.) It will get use. It's a nice quirky delay, and there's a freeze/infinite repeat function that's really fun.

Re: the Two Rock, we couldn't get it loud enough to coax any sort of breakup out of it whatsoever, so I was just jamming clean jazzy-bluesy-pseudoclassical noodlings through it. I handed my friend the Strat I was using, and he busted out a bunch of Ministry riffs. Classy.

We went ahead and filed for Barbara's citizenship ... just in case.

Surprisingly my band is still going well so far, this is the furthest I've got with an original band and everyone still seems happy. Just done a quick home recording of our latest thing we came up with the other night, it's sounding pretty heavy and can't wait to get it fully fleshed out with vocals etc. I think the guitars sound pretty good for a bedroom level amp pushed with a tubescreamer.
