I've always liked the Gretsch White Penguin 'cause it has a penguin on it, and that amuses me.

I love the Penguin and the Falcon. They make such an awesome pair.

And the Penguin is classy in a tuxedo sort of way.

And i would play the shit out of a Jazzmaster if they just weren't offset bodies. Actually, i would go for a Jaguar. That shortscale shit is dopey dope, and those geetars are beasty. But, because of the offset, i would probably just end up with a Mustang, though, it is definitely a lesser bit of git next to the Jaguar.

I would own a Jaguar as well, in fact I most likely will. That hits around #4 or #5 of guitars I want. I still would need a Grestch and a 335 and my single-'bucker strat first.

Also Mustangs & Jaguars. Couldn't do Jeebster or a Jazzmaster, however. With that scale I'll stick to Strats.

Aye, thinner bodies, and generally lower-fi construction. Like the LP Jr. or Melody Maker, they were intended to be student models, and they have some quirks to them as a result of that budget-conscious specification.

It is also what makes them awesome. Those cheap as shit nasty single coils and the comically untunable tremolo bridge in combination with the almost plywood-esque body and plinky dinky 24" scale length make for a cool guitar that few if any other guitars can sound or play like. It works and it is awesome, but the Jaguar is a way more solid feeling guitar.

But... the Mustang has a fucking normal shaped body, so it wins.
