No, seriously, I don't mind it.

Plus it makes me feel more professional while assembling proofs than glue sticks do. That makes me feel like a kid again. I didn't like being one then and I certainly wouldn't like it now.

I love it. Especially in conjunction with the my-arm-hair-is-like-velcro-perhaps-i-should-have-exercised-more-care-in-spraying aspect.

Seriously, spray mount is one of my favorite things ever. That, and the wide blue painters tape.

Painters tape leads to nothing but good times.

I just got the okay to proof a 40-page booklet/magazine-ish thingy. I'mma huffing a lot of spraymount this morning.

Also: I should find an excuse to use painter's tape for something. I have no idea what.

I use it like most people would use duct tape. For EVERYTHING.

The amount of blue tape in my life is kind of ridiculous actually. I think that every room in this house has some stuck to it somewhere.

I use electrical tape like folks use duct tape. Seriously, there's no stickier tape in the world than electrical tape. I've used that shit to hold parts on cars before.

Painter tape is awesome for ghetto stenciling.

Electric tape is awesome, until you have to take it off and it is sticky on both sides.

Unfortunately, like duct tape, over time, its adhesive qualities degrade. Actually, not as bad as duct tape in that, but unless you are wrapping something in the stuff(as it is meant to be used) it wont stay stuck very well for very long, and then will leave a gummy mess behind when it comes off.

If you are wrapping something though, it cannot be beat. It is electrically insulating, waterproof, and conforms well to shape due to its pliability and stretchability. I like the grey 3M stuff myself.

For general sticking things to other things, painter tape is hard to beat. The only downside i can think of is that it is not proper waterproof. Even then, it will resist moisture for a spell though.

I have used blue painter tape as bandages, gaffer's tape, post-it-notes, wrapping presents, sealing boxes, and even for masking something that needs to be painted.

Which, bizarrely enough, is my least favorite use for the stuff.

I usually just use masking tape.
