Post Some drumz.
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_so ... ID=9702570

I posted this in the drum forum too, then realized it was more fitting to be here.
Some mod fix that shit, please.
:huzzah:

This was more to see how well I could mic the kit with one mic (Some no name dynamic in front of the kit about 5 feet at level with the cymbals).
It was not to show off my (lack of) chops, so excuse the playing.

Sounds good man! Definitely pretty solid shit, especially for someone who hasn't been playing long.

The kit sounds nice too. That is the one that you got with all kinds of sweet cymbals right?

It is funny, that first beat reminds me of this:

Which is a band that i was totally into back when i was figuring out how to play my own style.

Thanks!
It's weird, I got quite a bit better when I came home from Alaska, not only did I pick it right back up after 3 months but I instantly improved.
:hypno:

Yes, the sweet cymbals, indeed.
It's a Vault crash, an AAX ride, and Paragon hi-hats.
Allll for free.

Ah, I do see the resemblance in regards to the song.
I kinda actually am digging this stuff.

Your right foot is pretty good considering how long you've been at it!

Their drummer was a dood whose playing i really enjoy the style of. He finds interesting ways through the guitar and bass parts.

I can only assume your referring to those weak ass blasts.

Yes, intertwining rhythms filling in the holes of sound.
I like it.

Naw I meant the first beat, with the kick like "dudududu"...

When my friend and I (we split on the original kit) were starting out there was a beat we'd play as like the Right Foot Challenge...

That is a pretty sick beat!
I shall practice that one (or my own bastardized version).

If you haven't noticed I really like throwing in that triplet/swing feel snare groove wherever I can.

Nice. I would do a similar thing with a friend and this one:

Nowadays, i tend to use this one to indicate to myself when my right foot is getting lazy:

It is that combination of fast and slow and the groove of the beat that does it. If your foot isn't working right, it sounds like a whole other beat.
