DESPISED FUCKING ICON.

I witnessed the final U.S. DI show ever.
It was the singlest greatest display of metal ever witnessed.
They played atleast one song off of every one of their albums and completely fucking destroyed.

Revocation and Misery Index absolutely killed, as well.

But the highlight of the night?
Going into Burger King and shaking 4 out of 6 members hands and telling them they're basically my heroes and that it's a real loss to the metal world now that they're disbanding.
They were all super cool and thanked me and whatnot and told me to have a good time at the show.

Fast forward to Despised Icon's set, 2 minutes into the first song on the setlist (All For Nothing) I get bumped while headbanging and smashed my head into a PA monitor.
That's how I got this;



I headbanged my way till the end getting blood on people and all that good stuff till the end of the set.
And then Alex Erian, (my favorite member ) looks at me and goes "FUCK DUDE, YOU OKAY!?" and chucks me a bottle of water out of the guitarist's rack set-up.


Greatest night of my fucking life.

Oh, also!
I totally recognized Al Glassman selling merch (Ex-DI, now in Job For A Cowboy), I was definitely the only guy there nerdy enough to recognize him, and was like, DUDE, ARE YOU BACK IN DI?! and he told me no that he's still in Job but that he'll be filling in the rest of the tour for Eric the guitarist.
Eric practically IS Despised Icon, he's main riff writer and is a founding member.

Anyways, I talked with Al for a few minutes about what the dudes are doing once the tour ends and I guess Alex (the drummer) already has something new going on and they all have plans for after the band.
Al was a super cool guy and it was a pleasure talking to him.
All in all, it was a great night to be Cameron Heck.

Actually, Lithgow isn't really much of a wash-up.
