I remember that film being really good. I am a Shakespeare appreciationist (how's that for a word)

I never liked Shakespeare... call me what you will.

I never did watch that but I always wanted to. I think perhaps I should. In fact, I should harass my friend who collects Shakespeare films and get her to acquire that and have everyone over for goodnerdytimes.

Say what you will about Shakespeare's works, but motherfucker invented so many words we use today.

IIRC he invented/coined around 1700 words by changing verbs to nouns, nouns to verbs, combining words or just straight up making them up. We use a good bit of them to this day, including:

Shakespeare only sounds correct when it's coming from Patrick Stewart.

This is true.

I feel you would be better than Capt Picard.

I can never, ever, disassociate Mr. Stewart from Capt. Picard. And will probably never be able to do so.

Luckily for us, he goes off into Shakespeare bouts on Next Generation.

Obviously for continuity purposes, seeing as Mr. Stewart was born in the early 1600s and is a vampire.

Little known fact: Locutus is his real name.
